Hundreds of film and comics enthusiast flooded the Brighton Centre this weekend to take part in the second annual Brighton Film and Comic Con.
Over the course of the two days fans could meet and chat to stars from their favourite film and TV franchises. Daniel Portman and Kristian Nairn from Game of Thrones (better known as Podrick and Hodor, respectively), Devon Murray who portrayed Seamus Finnigan in the Harry Potter films, and Sylvester McCoy Lalla Ward from Doctor Who were all in attendance.
Anna, 21, from Brighton said: “It was so amazing to meet Hodor, especially since his character was so big in the last season of Game of Thrones. I can’t believe he’s actually here!”
Comic book and manga lovers dressed up as some of their favourite characters and the bravest took part in a lip sync battle singing “For the First Time” from Disney’s Frozen. The winner took home an anime style Harry Potter toy and a glitter Batman painting.
Steven, 17, from Brighton, said: “This is the first time I’ve been to a convention and I love it, it’s so different to anything else I’ve done. I’m not really into sports, but I watch a lot of shows so it’s really cool to be in a room surrounded by people who enjoy the same things.”
